Nothing remains of this former seigniory castle in Flemish renaissance style from 1627. The so called castle of Reninge was rebuilt after World War I on the spot where the caretaker of the castle used to live. In the façade you see the coat of arms of the family Vilain XIIII. Louis XIV had given the owners the privilege of using this manner of writing. Above the entrance, you can also read their heraldic motto: “De Gand Vilain sans reproche”.
