St. Rictrudis Church

Built under the rule of Albrecht and Isabelle. The patron saint of the parish church is St Rictrudis, first abbess of the Benedictine abbey in Marchiennes. The former church in Romanesque Gothic style was completely destroyed during World War I. In 1921, the church was rebuilt in Neo-Gothic style and is now a preserved monument.
The church owns paintings from Samuel De Vriendt and Matthij De Visch and leaded windows from the transitional period classic-expressionism.
